ABOUT
The Great Dismal Swamp
I come from a small town in Northeastern NC, where I grew up on my family’s farm as well as the Great Dismal Swamp (pictured). As a fourth-generation legacy student, I grew up loving the NC State Wolfpack alongside my family.
I am currently a senior majoring in Fashion and Textile Management, with a concentration in Fashion Development and Product Management. I have also added a Business Entrepreneurship minor in order to learn more about businesses and how to start one.
I created a collection for both the African American Textile Society’s annual Fashion Expose and the FTM Threads Senior Showcase. This portfolio showcases these collections, as well as the portfolio built from my courses during my time at NCSU.
I graduated from North Carolina State University in 2020
I had an emergency appendectomy in August 2017, at the same time as the solar eclipse. My nurses were kind enough to allow my mom to take me outside to see it!
My older brother and I starting school. He is now working as an Assistant Forest Ranger, while I am a Technical Designer.
My parents have been an amazing support system throughout my education. This picture shows my mom being honored as the Teacher of the Year for both the school and county that she works in.
My Parents
I enjoy attending NC State athletics events during my free time. Carter-Finley Stadium is one of my favorite places to cheer on my favorite team!
