Reshaping Business

This mood board was created with the modern millennial work-woman in mind. The millennials are generally thought of as those born between 1980 and 2000, however, this line was targeted towards the younger half of the generation.
The object was to design a line that a millennial today would wear in a professional environment. Each woman is wearing something that formerly would not have been considered appropriate workwear. Millennial women are breaking the stereotype of what typical professional wear should be. Much of this is due to the shift in social opinion of the use of dress codes. This line represents that shift in today's society and focuses on the millennial woman breaking out into the workforce, in style.

I selected the center blue dress from the line to put into production for my final assignment. In order to make the pattern, I used Gerber's software. After many trials of prototypes, this screengrab shows the final pattern pieces. After getting a final pattern, I used the industrial cutter to cut out the pieces in order to assemble them.

I chose this dress in particular from the line because of the challenging neckline, and my love for bell sleeves. This was the final prototype submitted for my last assignment in this course.
